Reviews and Ratings
I found the hotel to be a mixed bag. The rooms were well decorated with nice tea and coffee facilities and comfy beds, but they were really small with very old furniture and carpet that you wouldn't want to step on barefoot. The service ranged from extremely nice and very helpful to a bit clueless at times. The location was fantastic for those who want to be right in the heart of Temple Bar district but may not suit those who prefer a quiet atmosphere. The dining experience varied from good pancake options to very poor quality in some cases.
The hostel is a great choice, with tidy and clean rooms, perfect for solo travelers, and fantastic staff. However, the shared bathroom situation can be a bit tricky. The location is superb, right in the heart of Temple Bar. The dining experience is good but could offer more variety earlier in the morning.
The hotel's location couldn't have been better; right in the heart of Temple Bar. The rooms were tiny and not what I expected from the photos, but the service was surprisingly friendly and helpful. The dining experience left much to be desired, but the hotel offered a convenient and cozy atmosphere.
My stay at Barnacles was absolutely wonderful. The room, although not overcrowded, wasn't as clean as I would have expected. However, the luxurious comfy beds and super bathroom with toiletries made up for it. It was a lovely touch to have a Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary tea, coffee, water, and biscuits. Being in the lively Temple Bar area, there was some noise, so I'd recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return in a heartbeat. Thank you, Barnacles!
The hotel is a mixed bag, with some positive and negative aspects. The rooms, although they had new installations and comfortable amenities, were very tiny and suitable only for light packers. The room's location on the 3rd floor with no elevator was unexpected and made it inconvenient for us. The service varied, with some of the staff being friendly and helpful, while others were described as irresponsible and arrogant. The location was praised for being central, right in the bustling area of Temple Bar, but this came with a bit of noise typical for such a lively spot. The dining options were considered okay, although breakfast could have been improved with clearer closing times.
Despite the cramped room setup with four people, the newly refurbished amenities provided comfortable accommodation at a good value. The killer central location close to bars and restaurants was perfect for solo travelers looking to party. The dining experience varied from great pancakes to basic toast and cereal. The facilities were functional, but some improvements could be made.
The hotel is in a superb central location with attentive service and clean, comfortable rooms. While the dining options may not suit everyone, the overall experience is welcoming and friendly.
My stay at the hotel was really pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious, modern, and surprisingly quiet, located on the top floor. The service was friendly and check-in was smooth. The location was fantastic, right in the center of Temple Bar and near many attractions. The dining experience was adequate, although breakfast finished a bit early for us. Facilities were good, and the staff helped me book an excursion to the Cliffs of Moher.
The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Temple Bar, making it ideal for those seeking Dublin's vibrant nightlife. The rooms, while nicely decorated with a lovely shower, felt a bit cramped for two people with minimal luggage. The service was pleasant overall, with a minor issue of a key not working promptly resolved. The dining options were a bit basic but had a surprising touch of variety, including a delicious vegetarian couscous. The location is undoubtedly a highlight, being right in the midst of Temple Bar's energy.
The hotel is located in the heart of Dublin, right next to the famous Temple Bar, making it excellent for exploring the city. The rooms, although a bit tight on space, come with a bathroom and are well-maintained. The service is outstanding with incredibly helpful and welcoming staff. The dining options are basic but satisfactory. Overall, it's a noisy area, but perfect for those looking to dive into the vibrant atmosphere of Dublin.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were completely filthy, but the Irish songs playing in the background added a fun touch. Unfortunately, the presence of noisy neighbors disrupted my peace for a night. The service was very helpful, and the staff provided a heater when needed. The location was bustling right next to Temple Bar, ideal for partygoers but noisy at all hours. The dining options were so-so, with somewhat limited variety. Despite some drawbacks, the facilities were adequate for a short stay.
